Proud to Play Our Part
One of New Zealand's Biggest Window Contracts
At Hagley Windows and Doors, we're proud to have supplied all the vertical glazing for Christchurch's new One New Zealand Stadium, a $656 million venue and one of the most ambitious projects our team has taken on. Over two-plus years, we installed 2,200 pieces of glass across 16 glass types, covering 6,600m², using 27km of aluminium joinery - from the arena's external glazing to windows and doors in the corporate suites and media room.
"We had to demonstrate advanced technical capability across many of our teams," says CEO Kerry Edwards. "This was probably our most demanding and ambitious commercial project to date — extensive structural glazing, entrance systems, bespoke brackets and flashings, and ventilation solutions engineered for seismic performance, crowd safety, durability, weather resistance, and turf protection."
We delivered the package using APL's commercial range; 150mm Flushglaze, 175mm and 200mm Structural Glaze, making this one of APL's biggest jobs in recent years. AGP supplied 114 IGUs for the west façade curtain wall, with solar control outer panes and toughened, heat-soaked inner panes at impact-prone levels.
We're proud to have worked alongside architects Warren and Mahoney and constructor BESIX Watpac on this landmark build.
